NATURAL HISTORY CAMERAMAN |

|
I have recently completed production as DoP on a 3D IMAX feature, 'Flight of the Butterflies", a film about the three thousand mile migration of the monarch butterfly. 'The Unnatural History of London', a Natural World film for the BBC on the wildlife of the capital, also aired this year. I have worked on two other documentaries for that strand, contributing sequences to 'Natural World - Bringing up Baby' and I was the principle cameraman on 'Natural World - The Gorilla King'. You can view excerpts from those films here. Other recent natural history projects include 'Kingdom of Plants' and 'Galapagos 3D', both with Sir David Attenborough. I also contributed natural history sequences to the award winning 'How to Grow a Planet'. I have been involved in natural history film making for over fifteen years. I am as comfortable organising logistics as I am operating the camera and equipped to work alone as well as I do in a team. I am an experienced polecam operator and have my own timelapse kit. I can shoot aerials and have filmed a great deal underwater. These skills, and my experience shooting documentary sync and drama, give me the ability to cover all bases on a complex shoot. Updated summer 2012.
